I'm sorry to inform you that Midnight Madness 2016 is cancelled this year, due to the low number of teams interested in this event.
I will make information about 2017 available as those decisions are finalized.
Any checks that are already in the mail will be returned.

Midnight Madness Invitational
Quizzing is GREAT … even LATE!!
WHEN: November 4-5, 2016
LOCATION: Grace Point Church of the Nazarene 8611 Mayhew Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana
MATERIAL: Luke 1-10
WHO: Local church teams as well as open cup teams* are invited.
Open cup teams may be made of quizzers from 2 churches in order to allow teams not having 5 members to combine for a full team. Cup teams may NOT be constructed as “All-Star Teams” and require permission from the tournament director.
COST: $25 for the first team, $15 for each additional team from the same church
Registration DUE: October 26, 2016

HOUSING:
Midnight Madness is a Lock-in Tournament. We will be staying in the church for the night. Teens are to bring a sleeping bag and pillow. (COACHES may bring an air mattress)
Tournament: There is no "Novice" or "Experienced" divisions. Team numbers will be drawn upon check-in. Team results of pool play will determine your bracket for the tournament rounds.
HIGHLIGHTS:
New time and format – Check-in from 8:00-8:45 PM
Quiz Friday 9:15 till midnight, Saturday 9:30 AM-3:00 PM
“Mystery Hour” Activity – 11:30 - Midnight on Friday
3 Tournament Brackets: Gold Teams, Silver Teams, Bronze Teams
Brackets determined from 8 Preliminary rounds by Modified Olympic Points
Prelims are 3 team quizzing, Tournament format to be determined based on number of teams registered.
ONU Scholarship Awards, Recognition Certificates, and Prizes:
ONU SCHOLARSHIP MONEY to be determined
Gold Bracket: Top 3 teams, Top 10 Individuals recognized
Silver Bracket: Top team, Top 5 Individuals recognized
Bronze Bracket: Top team, Top Individual recognized
Fun “Mystery Prizes” will be handed out at the end of the tournament awards ceremony by
drawing random tickets for 2 TEAMS and 5 INDIVIDUAL QUIZZERS!!! Everyone can “earn”
tickets for various quizzing accomplishments … there are MANY ways to earn tickets, so
EVERYONE has a chance to WIN!!!!

Due to lack of participation this year, Midnight Madness is cancelled.
Please know that this is NOT the end of the November Field Invitiational! It will be held next year on November 4-5, 2016. Housing will be provided.

LOCATION: Trinity Church of the Nazarene 4150 Stellhorn Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46815
MATERIAL: Galatians 1-6, Ephesians 1-4
WHO: Local church teams as well as open cup teams* are invited. Limited to 18 teams.
Note: Open cup teams may be made of quizzers from 2 churches in order to allow teams not having 5 members to combine for a full team. Cup teams may NOT be constructed as “All-Star Teams” and require permission from the tournament director.
COST: $20 for the first team, $15 for each additional team from the same church
Registration DUE: October 21st, 2015

LUNCH: $4 per person (pay at church in cash) OR you may pack your own lunch
Lunch will be “Walking Tacos” - Taco, fruit, veggies, dessert and drink
(There are a few places close enough to the church to eat and return before the alloted slot for lunch is up)
TOURNAMENT: Team numbers will be drawn at check-in. Standing will be
determined by modified olympic points. Team ties will be broken by head to head
and then by total points during the round robin. Individual ties will be
broken by number of errors and then by five question quiz-off. Round
robin is three team quizzing, all tournament rounds will be two team.
HOUSING: Housing will not be offered this year. It is recommended that you check-in to your hotel PRIOR to arrival on Friday.
